Growth Brand Marketer obsessed about building edgy digital brands with high converting funnels. In 2014 I left my corporate career at L'Oreal to join a random startup as their Marketing Guy. The random startup, Careem, was recently bought by Uber for 3.1B$. After working myself to the bone, I joined a community of Digital Nomads. That's where I met extraordinary humans capable of building M$ businesses without an office, a physical team nor investors. That's when 2 good friends from Dubai called me. They needed help in growing their laundry start-up called Washmen. In 14 months we grew Washmen by 5X through Instagram Stories, Branded onboarding sequences, automated drip campaigns and hyper-engaging newsletters. Facebook made an official case study out of our growth story. As a result, we closed a multi M$ Series B. Today, I am building Urbanmonks, a Growth Collective that helps founders engineering and implementing growth roadmaps.

I joined an early-stage Ymor in 2007, based in Utrecht in the Netherlands. Ymor was one of the first to fully specialize in user happiness or Digital Experience as we would call it now. In different roles my focus was always on growth: developing new services, entering new industries, finding new (technology) partnerships, or entering new geographical markets. Shortly after Ymor got acquired by Main Capital I moved to Dubai work for Gartner. In my three years with Gartner I provided start-up, mid-size and large enterprise Tech CEOs in the Middle East the advice, insights, and tools needed to accelerate the growth of their business. Outside work life I love to play golf on one of the many beautiful courses in Dubai, go sailing or run by the canal in Business Bay or by the sea at Kite Beach. My next challenge is to run the marathon of Dubai in January 2021!
